    After my first visit this year to matalan in Scunthorpe I can strongly say I will not be returning again. Firstly the customer service given in the store is poor. Working in retail myself I can honestly say I was shocked. After waiting 20 minutes to be served on a quiet evening with one person on the till and didn't think to call anyone else had annoyed me. When eventually approaching the till, the shop assistant didn't even give the smallest of smiles, I specifically asked for a gift receipt. Before I purchased I was asked if I had a matalan card, I did not and didn't want one as I rarely shopped at matalan... well this obviously didn't sit well with the shop assistant as she aggressively said she could not go further with the transaction, looking back I should of refused to purchase but I just said okay but left feeling bullied into signing up for something I did not want. Better yet when I got home, did not get a gift receipt!!!!! So like I said... terrible experience and will not be returning!
